Armani Legacy Reshapes Ownership

Giorgio Armani’s business will outlines a major shift for his fashion empire following his death at age 91. He directed heirs to sell a 15% minority stake within 18 months, prioritizing offers from LVMH, Essilor-Luxottica, or L’Oréal or a peer of similar stature.

Control of the company is divided among key figures: 40% to longtime collaborator Leo Dell’Orco, 15% each to niece Silvana Armani and nephew Andrea Camerana, and 30% to the Armani Foundation oversee the strategic sale of the minority stake. Non-voting shares were also granted to his niece Roberta and sister Rosanna.

Armani’s personal fortune includes luxury properties and a €2.5 billion stake in Essilor-Luxottica. His final collections will debut at Milan Fashion Week, alongside a tribute exhibition marking the brand’s 50th anniversary.
