Rheinmetall Aims to Increase Sales

Rheinmetall, experiencing significant growth due to a revived focus on defense in Europe, announced on Tuesday its goal to increase sales five times by the beginning of the next decade. The company projected revenues of approximately €50 billion ($58 billion) by 2030, compared to its expected revenue of €9.8 billion for 2024, along with an operational margin exceeding 20 percent during its capital markets day presentation.

Additionally, Rheinmetall introduced a new structural plan for the upcoming year, which includes a newly established naval division projected to reach €5 billion in sales by 2030. On Tuesday, Rheinmetall indicated its intention to expand through mergers and acquisitions in the next few years, having recently disclosed the acquisition of the warship unit, NVL, from the Luerssen Group. During the presentation, CEO Armin Papperger expressed his expectation that the naval division would be operational by January.
New divisions also encompass air defense, reflecting the firm’s heightened attention on drones, in addition to digital innovations.
