Spotify has reported remarkable growth in the first quarter of 2025, with significant increases in both subscriber numbers and revenue. The number of premium subscribers reached 268 million, reflecting a 12% increase compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the streaming platform achieved substantial profit growth during the first three months of the year.
Revenue for the quarter rose by 15%, amounting to €4.2 billion, supported by multiple price increases implemented in 2024 and early 2025. These adjustments contributed to Spotify achieving a record operating profit of €509 million triple the profit recorded in the first quarter of the previous year. The platform now boasts 678 million monthly active users, who stream music and podcasts, marking a 12% year-on-year increase in total user base.
